The Stronger than Sarcopenia campaign fosters vital collaborations to raise awareness about sarcopenia and its impact on older women. By working together with federal partners, national organizations, and health care providers, we aim to improve education, diagnosis, and management of sarcopenia, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for those affected. Through these collaborations, we strive to create a united effort to empower women to take proactive steps in maintaining muscle health as they age.
For questions or interest in collaborating with the Stronger than Sarcopenia campaign, please reach out to the HHS Office on Women's Health at womenshealth@hhs.gov.
Collaboration Across the Federal Government

The HHS Office on Women's Health leads the Sarcopenia Coordinating Group, a collaborative effort that brings together various agencies to improve the health and well-being of women at risk for or living with sarcopenia. This collaborative group focuses on sharing information and resources, supporting cross-agency promotion of materials, and gathering input to guide the campaign's direction. Through this coordinated approach, the group aims to enhance awareness, provide valuable resources, and promote effective strategies that improve the quality of life for women as they age.
The Sarcopenia Coordinating Group includes members from across the federal government, including the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the HHS Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (ODPHP), the HHS Administration for Community Living (ACL), and other agencies, who specialize in sarcopenia and ways to address it.
