Date published:  April 10, 2019 Due date:  June 12, 2019 Agency:  HHS Office on Women's Health (OWH) Description:

OWH is looking for applicants who can provide a community-level focus to the prevention of, screening for, and response to IPV and its intersection with the risk of HIV infection. Successful applicants will work across different systems and/or service sectors. Services sectors may include, but are not limited to legal assistance, law enforcement, mental health services, substance abuse treatments, primary care, and housing. These funded efforts will be based on new prevention activities to:

  • identify and address harmful gender and social norms that contribute to IPV
  • screen for both IPV and HIV
  • respond to and support victims and survivors of IPV
  • provide services to HIV+ individuals

Existing prevention, screening, and response activities may also be augmented through this approach.

OWH anticipates awarding two to five cooperative agreements for innovative, gender-informed projects over a 2-year project period. Each award will be between $500,000 and $1,033,333 per funding year with a project period of performance not to exceed 2 years.

Save-the-date: On Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at 2 pm ET, OWH will hold a technical assistance webinar for potential applicants. Register at https://www.mymeetings.com/emeet/rsvp/index.jsp?customHeader=mymeetings&Conference_ID=9029786&passcode=2118445.
