Find HIV testing locations
Mina K., a teenager whose birth parents died of AIDS-related illnesses, was adopted at an early age. The blogger and youth advocate, who is HIV-positive, fights against HIV stigma. Mina has written to state officials to advocate against HIV criminalization; written blogs about HIV for HIVE Online, PWN-USA, and The Well Project's "A Girl Like Me" blogs; coordinated an anti-HIV stigma project; trained in the One Heartland "Journey of Hope" youth program to educate others about HIV; participated in a visual HIV awareness campaign with BET; and participated in a few pediatric HIV research trials. The advocate plans to become a psychologist when she grows up, because she wants to help people and is fascinated by the different ways people think and act.
