National Women's Health Week partners are organizations that dedicate significant resources and time to engage in large-scale promotional efforts, beyond holding events, including partnership outreach, media outreach, and materials development.

AMGENAmgen

Amgen, a leader in biotechnology, aspires to be the best human therapeutics company in order to help millions of patients in the fight against cancer, kidney disease, rheumatoid arthritis, bone disease, and other serious illnesses. Amgen is supporting National Women's Health Week (NWHW) by including NWHW content in member communications for the Know My Bones program targeting women with postmenopausal osteoporosis, sharing NWHW information on the Healthy Women online health resource, and promoting NWHW within various partners' social media networks.


Better Hearing InstituteBetter Hearing Institute

The Better Hearing Institute (BHI) is a not-for-profit corporation that educates the public about the neglected problem of hearing loss and what can be done about it. BHI is celebrating National Women's Health Week (NWHW) and National Women's Checkup Day to educate women about how to address hearing loss and how to preserve hearing health. The organization is reaching out to its network of roughly 20,000 hearing healthcare professionals to encourage them to organize hearing screenings, host health fairs, disseminate women's health information, issue a press release, send information through listservs, and include the NWHW banner on their websites. In addition, BHI will issue a press release and link to the NWHW website.

da Vinci Surgery, the global technology leader in robotic-assisted, minimally invasive surgery, is celebrating National Women's Health Week (NWHW) by launching a campaign called "Women'sWorks: Tools For a Healthier You." In honor of NWHW, da Vinci Surgery, Everyday Health, and hundreds of hospitals are working together on doctor-led events that will educate women about early detection and treatment options for common health issues.

Everyday Health is currently the largest online health destination on the Web attracting more than 27 million unique monthly visitors and the greatest number of women aged 35-54 in the online health category (Source: comScore Media Metrix, 10/2010). The site helps consumers manage their own and their family's health and overall well-being through personalized advice, tools, and communities. In honor of National Women's Health Week, Everyday Health, da Vinci Surgery, and hundreds of hospitals are working together on doctor-led events that will educate women about early detection and treatment options for common health issues.


GMDCGlobal Market Development Center (GMDC)

GMDC is the premier non-profit global trade association dedicated to serving General Merchandise and Health Beauty Wellness retailers, wholesalers, suppliers, and manufacturers. GMDC's combined wholesale and retail member volume represents over 125,000 retail outlets and over $500 Billion dollars in retail sales. GMDC's supplier and service members include over 185 Health Beauty Wellness companies and more than 375 General Merchandise companies. GMDC supports National Women's Health Week and is encouraging its members to celebrate and plan events.


Go Running Mom - Go Running Mom is a Challenge. Get Up, Get Moving, and Go RunningGo Running Mom

The Go Running Mom blog is an invitation to take charge of your health and a challenge to set new fitness goals above and beyond your perceived limitations. Go Running Mom exists to motivate and inspire readers to commit daily to physical activity, to provide nutritional "nuggets" such as family friendly recipes, and natural fueling options, and to help moms and other women establish a pace for active family living. Reaching out to women everywhere through the blogging platform, Facebook, and Twitter presence, Go Running Mom will work with local groups to coordinate events, such as mother/daughter fun runs, free fitness classes, health screenings, and educational seminars throughout National Women's Health Week (NWHW). Go Running Mom is also working with the local Minneapolis YMCA to plan a week's worth of events during NWHW.


MedelaMedela

Medela's Breastfeeding Division exists to enhance mother and baby health through the life-giving benefits of breastmilk. For over 25 years, Medela has provided high-quality breastfeeding and breastpumping products and services for mothers and professionals based on the latest breastfeeding science. In honor of National Women's Health Week (NWHW), Medela will host free, interactive live chats with Julie Hamilton on Tuesday, May 10 at noon EST and Thursday, May 12 at 3:00 pm EST to share the benefits of breastfeeding for women and infant health and tips for success. Medela will include NWHW information on its website and social media channels via Facebook and Twitter. Medela is also highlighting NWHW by including content in both the "Mom Mavens" and "Messenger" newsletters, which are distributed to consumers and health professionals.


MONISTAT®MONISTAT®

MONISTAT® is an over-the-counter, antifungal vaginal yeast infection treatment that both relieves symptoms and cures the infection. In an effort to help cure the confusion around gynecological health, the MONISTAT® Brand is celebrating National Women's Health Week (NWHW) by developing a gynecological health screening chart, a checklist of questions every woman should ask her gynecologist, and by hosting a webcast with Beverly Hills OB/GYN Dr. Suzanne Gilberg-Lenz on May 9, 2011 at 7 p.m. EST / 4 p.m. PST. National Panhellenic ConferenceNational Panhellenic Conference

Founded in 1902, the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) is the premier advocacy and support organization for its members, member groups, college, and alumnae panhellenics and a proponent of women's fraternity membership. Along with its member groups, NPC provides lifetime opportunities for friendship, leadership, learning, and community service. In honor of National Women's Health Week, the NPC is featuring podcasts on women's health with doctors and promoting the celebration among their partner organizations.


North Shore LIJ - North Shore Long Island Jewish Health SystemNorth Shore-LIJ Health System

North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System (NSLIJ) is the second largest nonprofit health system in the nation. NSLIJ has made a commitment to women's health with the construction of the new Katz Women's Hospital and the creation of the Katz Institute for Women's Health. In celebration of National Women's Health Week, NSLIJ is holding various programs, events, and activities throughout their hospital system like health screenings, healthy cooking demonstrations, presentations, walking events, and more.


Spirit Of WomenSpirit of Women

Spirit of Women is a nationwide coalition of hospitals, healthcare facilities, and healthcare providers. Spirit of Women is celebrating National Women's Health Week (NWHW) to advance the cause of women's health and will be electronically distributing NWHW materials to its network of more than 400 healthcare facilities in 90 cities, including 12,000 active physicians and more than 76,000 consumer members. Spirit of Women will also post NWHW information online and link to the NWHW website to provide additional information.


Stroller StridesStroller Strides

Stroller Strides is a total fitness program that moms can do with their babies. It includes power walking and intervals of strength and body toning exercises using exercise tubing, the stroller, and the environment. In celebration of National Women's Health Week (NWHW), Stroller Strides is including NWHW content in their franchise weekly newsletter and sharing NWHW information through social media channels like Facebook and Twitter. Stroller Strides will also post the NWHW banner on their corporate website home page.


WellPointWellPoint

WellPoint is the nation's leading health benefits company serving the needs of more than 33 million medical members nationwide. WellPoint is developing a National Women's Health Week (NWHW) toolkit to distribute to more than three million employers; these toolkits will include unique template emails to send to employees covering a different women's health topic for each day of NWHW. The company is also including NWHW content in member publications and web resources, and developing localized press releases highlighting NWHW and local women's prevention statistics in 14 states.
