Is it Safe to Use Medicine When I'm Pregnant?

There is no clear-cut answer to this question. Before you start or stop any medicine, it is always best to speak with the doctor who is caring for you while you are pregnant. When deciding whether or not to use medicine during your pregnancy, you and your doctor need to talk about the medicine's benefits and risks.

This month we heard from a young mother who said she was struggling with anxiety. She had a great husband and job, but she worried a lot about being away from her one-year-old son. She also found herself worrying a lot about money and keeping up with the classes she was taking at a local community college. We gave her the following resources and suggested she speak with her doctor about her anxiety.
