Spotlight on Women's Health

Interview with a self-esteem booster

In her mission to end "Fat Talk" and foster positive body image, Caitlin Boyle created Operation Beautiful — a movement that inspires women to post anonymous notes in public places for other women to find. In her blog, Healthy Tipping Point, she records her adventures in healthy eating, running, and overall healthy living in her quest to prove that when women come together, they are all beautiful.

What Women Want to Know

Highlights from the womenshealth.gov information and referral center

We received an email from a woman who was pregnant but didn't have health insurance. She heard that she would automatically get health insurance coverage because she was pregnant and wanted to know if that was true.

We told her that each state operates under different laws when it comes to pregnancy. We connected her with her state health department for information about pregnancy and insurance. We also gave her a list of resources about pregnancy and insurance.
