Mission Statement

NFBR's mission is focused on educating the public about the importance of the basic and clinical science that is so essential to both advancing our understanding of brain and CNS disorders and developing safe and effective treatments for them. NFBR seeks to bring public and private investment in brain and nervous system research to a level comparable to other medical research investments and to a level more congruent with the degree of human suffering and the health-care burden associated with brain disorders. NFBR seeks also to focus public attention on the many and substantial private sector achievements in neuroscience and to cultivate continued advances within this important arena.
