Mission Statement

The ESDRB performs the following emergency services: coordinates the Center for Mental Health Services’ (CMHS) activities relating to mental health needs of persons in emergency conditions arising from crisis in the physical environment; analyzes and evaluates current research and developments; collaborates with the Public Health Service, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and other public and private agencies to administer crisis counseling programs in areas which have been declared disaster areas by the President of the United States; and develops and disseminates relevant educational materials.
