Healthy People 2010Healthy People 2010

Healthy People 2010 is a set of health objectives for the nation to achieve over the first decade of the 21st century. It can be used by many different people, states, communities, professional organizations, and others to help them develop programs to improve health.

The health objectives are based on Leading Health Indicators that include issues such as physical activity, overweight and obesity, mental health, immunization, access to health care, and injury and violence. To find "women's health" or other objectives on the Healthy People 2010 web site, click on "search" and then "objectives."

The Health Professionals section Women’s Health Today focuses on many of the women’s issues identified by Healthy People 2010. The section also includes downloadable fact sheets to share with your patients.
