National Women's Health Week (NWHW) Help?
You'll find the answers to the most common NWHW questions in the NWHW Help Center. If you forgot your password, you can retrieve it by using the password look-up tool. You are more than welcome to link to our Web site (www.womenshealth.gov) and any page within! We thank you for doing so! Anyone may link to us from their Web site.
If you'd like for us to link to your Web site or if you would like to suggest publications or organizations that we can add to our Web site, please read our selection criteria and submit the organization interview form if you think your resource meets our criteria.
As a project of the federal government, all resources on our Web site must meet the approval of the Department of Health and Human Services, Office on Women's Health.
May I have permission to use pictures from this site?
We have two types of artwork on our Web site: photographs and illustrations (drawings).
All of the photographs on our Web site, are licensed from stock photo vendors. Because of the licensing arrangements, we cannot give permission for re-use of any photograph.
Most of the illustrations (drawings) on the Web site, however, are in the public domain. If you would like to re-use an illustration (drawing) found on any of our sites, please use our contact form to send us the address of the page containing the artwork and we will notify you if it is available for your use.
How do I subscribe, unsubscribe, or change my e-mail address for the Healthy Women Today Newsletter?

I would like to add my health event to your online calendar of events.
Please note: Starting July 1, 2010 we will no longer be offering the women's health events calendar on womenshealth.gov. We cannot accept events that occur on or after July 1, 2010.
To suggest an event that occurs before July 1, 2010, please use our contact form, and provide the following information for each conference you would like to add. As a project of the federal government, all listings on our Web site must meet the approval of the Department of Health and Human Services, Office on Women's Health.
If approved, your conference information will be posted in the appropriate month on our events calendar.
Where is / how do I contact my local or state health department?
We maintain a listing of state health departments on our Web site. If you click the 'details' link next to each entry, you will find the health department's phone numbers and Web site addresses. We do not maintain a list of local health department. However, you should be able to locate that information from your state health department.
Can you refer me to a physician or specialist?
Unfortunately, we are not able to refer the public to physicians or specialists. If you have health insurance, please contact your insurance company (member services department) for referrals to physicians and specialists. If you don't have insurance please call our toll free number (800-994-9662) and one of our information specialists will assist you with an organization that can help.
How do I know if I'm depressed?
We cannot provide you with a diagnosis, but we can refer you to some information that may help, such as our Frequently Asked Questions about Depression and Depression During and After Pregnancy. You'll also find information on depression in our Mental Health Web site.

If you have health insurance, please contact your insurance company (member services department) for referrals to physicians and specialists. What causes irregular periods? / Why are my periods irregular?
Many things can cause irregular periods. Sometimes irregular periods are a symptom of another health condition. You will find information on this topic in our fact sheet about Menstruation and the Menstrual Cycle.
