Ms. Borden is the Director of the Division of Strategic Communications within the HHS Office on Women’s Health (OWH). Ms. Borden has over 20 years of experience in health communications and project management.
She serves as principal advisor to the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Health (Women’s Health), Deputy Director and to OWH staff on all matters related to health education, communications, traditional media, social media, and other means of making important women’s health information available to the public.
Ms. Borden oversees all communication strategies and efforts for OWH. She coordinates the implementation of national educational health campaigns. She also oversees the planning, development, and implementation of special OWH events, including press conferences and national observances such as National Women’s Health Week. She oversees the development of press materials and talking points and generates media coverage for campaigns and events. Ms. Borden oversees the writing, graphic design, production, and distribution of all print and digital-based information for the office.
Ms. Borden received her B.B.A. in Business/Marketing from the University of Massachusetts and her M.P.A. from Suffolk University in Boston, MA. She is a 2009 graduate of the Excellence in Government leadership development program.
